5 Inexpensive Recipes for Shiny Hair

Our hair is our crowning glory. Therefore, good and proper maintenance is essential. Yes, we all want that smooth, shiny, healthy hair. But do we really need to head to salons and spend lots of money for hair pampering?

We have prepared 5 inexpensive recipes for shiny hair that you can make at home.

1. Butter Treatment

  • Grab a tiny chunk of butter and massage it onto your hair from tip to roots. Cover your head with plastic wrap for 30 minutes, then wash your hair as you would normally do, using a tiny amount of shampoo.

2. Raspberry Shampoo

  • Get a tea ball and place ¼ cup of raspberries in it. Pour 2 cups of water into a bowl and keep the water on the stove. As soon as it reaches the boiling point, remove the bowl from the heat and steep the raspberries in hot water for 15-20 minutes. Grab another bowl and mix 1 egg, ¼ tsp of vinegar and ½ cup of the raspberry tea to create a fine lotion. Pour the mixture into a container and use this shampoo on a regular basis.

3. Yogurt and Lemon Treatment

  • In a medium bowl, mix 1 cup of yogurt with the juice of 1 lemon. Apply the mixture on your damp hair and cover your head with a plastic wrap for 20 minutes. The wash off the treatment with cool water and shampoo. The lemon will neutralize the alkalinity level of hard water and preserves the healthy condition of your strands.

4. Watermelon Treatment

  • Use a food processor and prepare a fine paste from a few slices o
    f watermelon. Apply the hair pack on your locks and scalp. Leave the treatment on for 15 minutes before you wash your hair with a tiny amount of shampoo and tepid water.

5. Peach Treatment

  • Use a food processor to create a fine paste from 3 medium-sized peaches. Massage the treatment into your damp locks and leave the pack on for 15 minutes. These fruits are loaded with vitamins and antioxidants. When the time is up your can wash off the peach paste with lukewarm water and a tiny amount of shampoo. Include this simple beauty ritual into your weekly or monthly hair care regime for amazing results.
