Booty is something both valuable and acquired by force or daring. The proceeds of criminal activity are sometimes referred to as booty, especially from piratical exploits.

Synonyms include plunder (from an enemy), loot (from piracy), a prize (won by daring), pillage, swag, and (originally African-American slang, but now in common usage) buttocks or (especially of a desirable female). The term is also used as a reference to women in blaxploitation films of the 1970s. Its popularity was perhaps made famous by the quote "It's my duty to please that booty!".
