How to Prevent Migraines

The headache or migraine is a disease characterized by strong and intense headaches that can be really annoying and even disable those who suffer from this, depriving them of their favorite activities. Approximately 15% of the population suffer from migraines. Now, let’s learn how to prevent migraines.

There are several types of headaches and these can be triggered by various causes such as meningitis, flu states, a trauma to the skull and even a brain tumor. It is therefore very important to differentiate the pain and consult a professional.

The most common causes of migraines are often determined by changes in the environment or body, including:

  • Hormonal changes in women
  • Certain medications
  • Certain smells (strong smellsĀ of factories, industries, spray, perfumes, etc.).
  • Intake of red wine
  • The food and processed foods
  • Some preservatives such as monosodium glutamate
  • Changes in the state of the weather (sun exposure, changes in air pressure, etc.).

Always try to sleep as your body needs. Never less, never more. Usually, they say that the body needs to rest at least 8 hours a day. But the truth is that, it depends on your body. You can sleep 7 or 9 hours, until your body feel good. But always rest properly.

Avoid strong odors and foul smells, caffeine, snuff, alcohol, etc.
