Preventing Diabetes with Diet and Exercise

The conference on health, harmony and culture organized by the social services department of the City of San Martín (Spain), witnessed Dr José Antonio Noya Mejuto focusing on the aspects of prevention of diabetes. He pointed to two elements that can significantly help prevent the onset of the disease –  nutrition and exercise.

Diabetes – Type 1 /Type 2 – is a very common disease, characterized by excessive fluid loss and  high levels of blood sugar. There’s a rise in level of blood sugar with both, but have different effects.

This disease is highly serious and patients suffer many problems, not to mention they have a very strict diet and there limitations for what type of food to take. That is why Noya aimed at the prevention of diabetes through activities that can be tried out by everyone.

Exercise, weight control and a proper diet are three aspects that could help prevent diabetes and they are the three most important pillars for a good quality of life.

Noya pointed the importance of these activities to control diabetes. The disease can be prevented by carrying out these activities and you could benefit from a healthier life.
