The Diet of Oats

Oatmeal is known for its many properties, such as helping us  lose weight. Besides, it helps lower cholesterol, and has a lot of fiber, which helps  improve  digestion and gives us a feeling of fullness. Oatmeal also gives us many nutrients such as protein, potassium, manganese, iron and phosphorus. Eating oats is a good option if we want to lose weight.

If you eat oatmeal with as little processing as possible, you can enjoy its full benefits. To lose weight with oatmeal, include it in breakfast every day. This will increase your metabolism and you will have a lot of energy to start your day. You can add skim milk to your oats, or soy milk, nuts or fruit to your oatmeal.

The diet of oats has been widely reported as an excellent recipe for weight loss, but there are conflicting opinions in relation to it. Based on that, you should eat oatmeal every day for at least 7 days.

Only if you’re desperate to lose weight and you start changing your lifestyle, you can do this diet for 5 days. However, there are variations in time and form of diet. We recommend the following;

  • Eat ½ cup of oatmeal for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
  • For breakfast, add ½ cup skim milk, ½ teaspoon cinnamon and 1 tablespoon of raisins to the oatmeal.
  • For lunch, eat 1/2 cup low-fat yogurt and a banana, plus oatmeal.
  • For dinner, eat a salad and 100 g of chicken breast grilled with oats.
  • Supplementing meals with healthy snacks throughout the day, like blueberries or raw vegetables.

If you’re fond of pastries, you can add oats to your baked goods and enjoy a nutritious food that will help you lose weight. You can add the oats in your preparations of meat, in cookies and pancakes or whatever you want. Enjoy it with yogurt or milk.

It is best that you incorporate oats in your daily diet, but it eat in a balanced way. Beware of diets that offer weight loss without much effort, as they can seriously affect your health.

Be patient, change your lifestyle, incorporate healthy foods into your diet and your weight will go down without suffering rebounds.
